Delmont schedules borough-wide clean-up for mid-May
Delmont’s annual borough-wide clean-up is set for May 16-18 at the borough public works garage on Bierer Street.
Three dumpsters will be placed at the garage where residents can dispose of a wide variety of trash at no cost during daylight hours.
Participants may be asked to provide proof of residence, and an early pick-up service will be offered to senior citizens in the borough.
Public works employees will haul acceptable items for those unable to physically participate. To arrange a pick-up, call 724-468-4422 by May 13.
Trash is not permitted to be left outside the dumpsters, which will be closed once they are filled.
• Acceptable items include: furniture, appliances (except for those containing Freon, unless removal has been certified with the proper tag for A/C units, refrigerators, dehumidifiers and freezers), regular household trash, building materials (except for concrete, blocks or bricks) and dry paint.
• Unacceptable items include: car parts or tires, TVs or other electronics, liquids and hazardous chemicals.
The public works garage is at 30 Bierer Street.
