Franklin Regional eighth-graders prepare to stage 'Seussical Jr.'

‘Seussical Jr.’ to be staged James Swift plays the Cat in the Hat during a May rehearsal for the Franklin Regional Middle School’s upcoming production of “Seussical Jr.” by the eighth-grade performing arts class. The show will be at 7 p.m. May 16-17 in the Little Theater at the school, 4660 Old William Penn Highway in Murrysville. Tickets are $7 and will be available at the school from 7:30-8:15 a.m., as well as at the door.

Franklin Regional Middle School students will host performances of “Seussical Jr.” by the eighth grade performing arts class this weekend.

The show will be at 7 p.m., May 16-17 in the Little Theater at the school, 4660 Old William Penn Highway in Murrysville.

Adapted from “Seussical the Musical” and written by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, “Seussical Jr.” is based mostly on Dr. Seuss’ popular book, “Horton Hears a Who,” but draws characters and plot lines from nearly 20 books by the classic children’s author.
