Murrysville to host Easter drive-thru

Murrysville Recreation Department will host an Easter drive-thru from 3:30-5:30 p.m. April 13 at the municipal building on Sardis Road.

Families can wave to the Easter Bunny and Yellow Chick and receive a treat bag while supplies last.

Presentation offered on bird-banding

The Murrysville branch of the American Association of University Women will host a March 10 presentation by Annie Lindsay, bird-banding program manager at Powdermill Nature Reserve in Rector.

The presentation will be at 10 a.m. and include discussions of bird-banding and how the data gleaned from it has been used to study songbirds and undertake other avian research.

The program will take place in the TechNook at the Murrysville Community Library, 4130 Sardis Road in Murrysville.

Franklin Regional School District relocates administrative offices

Franklin Regional School District relocated its administrative offices Feb. 21 to the Newlonsburg Elementary School building at 3170 School Road, Murrysville.

Phone extensions for administrators and central office staff will not change. The main entrance to the administrative center will be the Newlonsburg entrance along School Road.

The former offices are part of the Heritage Elementary building, which the district plans to demolish.

• Franklin Regional school board committee-of-the-whole meeting (no voting), 7:30 p.m. March 7 at the municipal building, 4100 Sardis Road, Murrysville. Meetings are broadcast live on Comcast local access Channel 19 and archived on the district’s YouTube page.
