Veteran banner sales in Delmont

Delmont officials are accepting additional requests for veteran banners to be hung in the borough.

Banners are $105 and can be purchased by completing a form and turning in a photo and check made payable to Delmont Borough no later than June 19.

Family Fun Night set for June 19 in Delmont

The Delmont Recreation Committee will host a June 19 “Family Fun Night,” featuring food, beer, a movie and live music by The Phisbins.

It will be at 5 p.m. at Newhouse Park, off Stotler Road.

Food will be available from the Good to Go food truck, beer will be available from Yellow Bridge Brewing, and Kona’s Ice will be sold as well.

The Delmont Public Library will sponsor a children’s activity, and after dusk, the committee will present an outdoor screening of the 1987 film “Harry & the Hendersons.” The concession stand will be open with drinks, popcorn and candy.

Upcoming library programs

• The Delmont Public Library will host a “No Bones About It” program at 11 a.m. June 16, and 6 p.m. June 17. The free program will focus on the workings of the human body and is sponsored through a grant from Walmart.

• The library also will host a “Get Moving Seniors!” program Tuesdays in June. The program, designed for those 60 and older, will be from 9 to 10 a.m. at the library, 75 School St. Cost is $5 per class. Registration is required at DelmontLibrary.org.

Murrysville-Export Rotary prepares for July 4 car cruise

The Murrysville-Export Rotary will hold a Fourth of July Car Cruise-In from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., July 4 at the Lamplighter in Salem.

The show will feature classic, muscle, antique, retro mod and special-interest cars and trucks. The first 200 entries will receive a dash plaque and gift bag with a $10 entry-fee donation.

The afternoon also will feature food and refreshments, a DJ, auction baskets and 50/50 prizes. The Lamplighter is at 6566 William Penn Highway. For details, call 412-677-8280 or 724-519-7369.

• Franklin Township Municipal Sanitary Authority, 6 p.m. June 17 at the authority offices, 3001 Meadowbrook Road, Murrysville.

• Franklin Regional school board voting meeting, 7:30 p.m. June 21, streamed online at YouTube.com/user/FranklinRegionalSD.
