‘All About Otters’ at Murrysville library
Pennsylvania game warden Mike Papinchak will join Plum naturalist Sue Miller for a presentation about river otters as well as the purple martin at the Murrysville Community Park wetlands, 4056 Wiestertown Road.
The program will be held at 9:30 a.m. July 9 at the library, 4130 Sardis Road. No registration is required.
There is no cost to attend.
Free fishing event
The Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission and Murrysville Recreation Department will host a free family fishing event, 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Townsend Park in Murrysville.
Families can learn basic fishing skills like knot tying, casting, hook baiting and taking a fish off the hook — no fishing license required. All equipment will be provided.

‘Family Fun Night’ in Delmont
The Delmont Recreation Committee will host its “Family Fun Night” summer series on the last Saturday of the month at Newhouse Park.
The event will take place from 4-11 p.m. July 30, Aug. 27 and Sept. 24 at the park off of Stotler Road, with a movie shown at dusk.
