The Murrysville Recreation Department is venturing into summer events as Westmoreland County continues making its way through the “green phase” of the state’s covid-19 reopening plan.
Concerts
The “Tuesdays at Townsend” concert series will resume June 23. Free concerts at Townsend Park will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. June 23 and 30, and July 7 and 21.
Concerts will take place in the park’s upper pavilion, and guests are asked to bring blankets and chairs.
Social distancing guidelines will be in effect, and coolers will not be permitted.
Parking is limited.
Wine tasting
The department will also host a July 15 wine tasting and tour at La Casa Narcisi Winery in West Deer.
Participants will tour the vineyards and production area before a private tasting in Narcisi’s dining room.
Lunch is available at participants’ cost as well.
The cost of the trip is $55, which includes transportation, the tour and the tasting.
Register online for programs at MurrysvillePArecreation.com under the “Programs & Events” menu.
