Townsend Park concert schedule announced

The Murrysville Recreation Department has released the schedule for its summer concert series, “Tuesdays at Townsend,” taking place at Townsend Park.

The free concerts will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the park, and each concert will also include regional food trucks and breweries:

• June 8: Tim Bush, PGH Eatz food truck and Wine O’Clock Somewhere

• June 22: The Rust Project with Cilantro & Ajo food truck and Sly Fox Brewing

• July 6: Aubrey Burchell, Mommalicious food truck and Helltown Brewing

• July 20: Detention, Mobile Chef food truck and Sobel’s Obscure Brewery

• Aug. 3: Miss Freddye, Hoshi PGH food truck and Devout Brewing

• Aug. 17: Luke Weltz Band, Big Black Grill and New Crescent Brewing

Borough declares Delmont Library Day

Delmont officials have proclaimed June 7 as “Delmont Library Day.”

The library will host an open house for its new Outdoor Learning Center.

Military nonprofit to host indoor yard sale

Penn Hills nonprofit Military Connections, which sends care packages to troops stationed overseas, will host an indoor yard sale, 8 a.m. to noon June 12 at Living Word of Plum, 200 Elicker Road in Plum.

All proceeds will benefit the group’s care package project.

Donations of gently used goods for the sale can also be arranged by emailing militaryconnections@hotmail.com.

Donations will be accepted by appointment only through June 8. Televisions, computer monitors and adult clothing will not be accepted.

Rotary prepares for July 4 car cruise

The Murrysville-Export Rotary will hold a Fourth of July Car Cruise-In from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., July 4 at the Lamplighter in Salem.

The show will feature classic, music, antique, retro mod and special-interest cars and trucks.

The first 200 entries will receive a dash plaque and gift bag with a $10 entry-fee donation.

The afternoon will also feature food and refreshments, a DJ, auction baskets and 50/50 prizes.

The Lamplighter is at 6566 William Penn Highway.
