Delmont Concert Band to play Ligonier concert series
The Delmont Concert Band will play as part of the 71st annual Sunday Evening Band Concerts sponsored by the Ligonier Valley Chamber of Commerce.
The concert will be at 7 p.m. Aug. 15 at the bandstand on the Diamond, at the intersection of Main and Market streets.

First Presbyterian to host annual tag sale
Officials at First Presbyterian Church in Murrysville are making plans to host the church’s 50th annual tag sale.
In anticipation of covid-19 restrictions being lifted, the tentative plan is to hold the sale Sept. 24 and 25.

Public meetings
The following public meetings are scheduled in the coming weeks:
• Murrysville council, 7 p.m. May 19 at the municipal building, 4100 Sardis Road. Meetings are broadcast on Comcast local access Channel 19 and streamed at Murrysville.com.
• Franklin Township Municipal Sanitary Authority, 6 p.m. May 20 at the authority office, 3001 Meadowbrook Road in Murrysville.
• Franklin Regional school board voting meeting, 7:30 p.m. May 24. Meetings are streamed live at YouTube.com/user/FranklinRegional SD.
Woman’s club hosts ‘Remember When’
The Murrysville Woman’s Club reminisced about the past at its May 1 “Remember When” event, themed around the dress, culture and music of the 1950s and ’60s.
Antique appraisal event set for Saturday (POSTPONED)
The Delmont Historical Preservation Society’s “Delmont Discovery Day” has been postponed until further notice.
Nonpartisan survey input sought by MEDC
The Murrysville Export Democratic Club is seeking residents’ opinions on local, state and national issues. The club’s online 2021 Murrysville Community Survey is available to fill out by clicking on the “MEDC Community Survey” link at MurrysvilleDemocrats.org. All answers are anonymous.
Results will be accepted through Saturday , and the club will share the results later this summer.
