On the way to a campaign event at Cornerstone Ministries, U.S. Vice President Mike Pence made an unscheduled stop at the Murrysville GOP Victory Center on Rt. 22 on Sept. 9.

Pence met briefly with Murrysville Mayor Regis Synan and local state Rep. Bob Brooks (R-Murrysville), and spoke to the crowd of supporters before his motorcade continued down William Penn Highway to Cornerstone, where Pence addressed the kick-off of the Susan B. Anthony List’s campaign to engage pro-life voters in Pennsylvania.

Murrysville GOP Committee Chairman Tom Wubben said he believes it’s the first time a sitting vice president has visited the municipality.

“All the supporters were so excited to see the vice president pull over and speak about the key campaign promises the Trump administration has kept for the past four years, as well as address the current campaign issues like law and order,” Wubben said.
