Hearing postponed for man accused of inappropriately touching himself at GetGo in Ross
A Pittsburgh man accused of inappropriately touching himself in a GetGo parking lot in Ross over the summer is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing in January.
The hearing for Kinsey Basko, 38, on charges of open lewdness and indecent exposure had been scheduled for Wednesday but was postponed, online court records show.
A criminal complaint filed in connection with the July 30 incident said a Ross police officer who responded to the GetGo on McKnight Road noted that two other cars were parked within 20 feet of Basko’s car, who was looking down with his earbuds in.
The officer said he approached the car but Basko “appeared oblivious to his surroundings and failed to notice my presence next to his vehicle until I spoke to him.”
When asked for an explanation, the officer wrote that Basko apologized and told him he had gotten “carried away,” the complaint said.
Basko told the officer that he was on his way home from his job at Jewart’s Gymnastics in Hampton, the complaint said.
A message left for Jewart’s Gymnastics was not immediately returned.
Basko was previously employed as the head girls gymnastics coach in the Hampton Township School District, where he led the Talbots to a pair of WPIAL titles, according to Tribune-Review files. A district spokesman said Basko hasn’t worked for the district since 2019.
A message for Basko’s attorney was not immediately returned, and Basko could not be reached. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Jan. 12.
