Ross Township held its annual end-of-summer celebration at a new location and expanded the event to two days.

The Sept. 7 and 8 Community Day celebration was moved from the municipal center to The Block Northway, where local non-profit and community organizations set up booths and kids had a chance to view and touch a variety of public safety vehicles that were on display.

There were musical performances by Let’s Groove Tonight, Velveeta and The Lava Game; and a variety of indoor and outdoor activities were available for children.

Some of the vendors who set up at the shopping center’s weekly farmers market also were on hand along with food trucks and specials offered by the mall’s eateries.

The second day of the event featured a classic car cruise, a DJ spinning oldies music and a live performance by the doo-wop group “The Bloomfield Boyz.”
