NORTH HILLS COMMUNITY OUTREACH
Volunteers are needed at the Rosalinda Sauro Sirianni Garden in Bellevue to grow produce for needy families in the North Hills.

Starting in April, volunteers interested in growing produce that will be distributed to needy families in the North Hills through the non-profit organization’s three food banks can help out at the garden from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays.

Last year the garden produced 5,000 pounds of organic produce for the food banks.

Volunteers can also bring children to participate but they must be supervised at all times. Gardeners also should not wear open-towed shoes when they are working.

For more information about volunteering at the garden, send and email to Alyssa at: aacrawford@nhco.org or call 412-307-0069 Ext. 3311.
