Club news: Penn Hills Rotary fundraiser benefits food bank

Penn Hills Rotary will host a bingo fundraiser on Feb. 11. Doors open at 6 p.m. and bingo starts at 7. It will be held at the Universal Banquet Hall, 2240 Main St., Penn Hills.

Tickets are $25 and include 6 cards for each of the 11 games. Also included are soft drinks and valentine treats. There will also be a 50-50, raffles and other games going on, available for purchase. One of the items to be raffled off is a Michael Kors purse with wine and chocolate.

Rotary will be offering homemade meatball sliders, hot dogs with various toppings, beer and wine for sale throughout the event.

Folks can get an extra free bingo card if they bring nonperishable food items to be donated to a local food bank.

Proceeds from this event benefit Penn Hills Rotary charities. The club has earmarked 15% of the proceeds from this event to directly benefit the Rosedale Park restoration project by Rosedale Civic Association and Penn Hills #2 Fire Department.
