Crash near Penn Hills middle school sends 2 to hospital

Penn Hills police are investigating a crash that sent two people to the hospital Monday morning.

Allegheny County dispatchers said the incident occurred around 8 a.m. near the intersection of Aster Street and Saltsburg Road by Linton Middle School.

Two people were hospitalized. Their condition was not available. No other injuries were reported.

Penn Hills School District Superintendent Nancy Hines said the crash did not involve a school bus or students.

Emergency responders began clearing the scene shortly after 10 a.m.

No further information was available.
