The Crescent Hills Civic Association in Penn Hills will host a Holiday House Tour event on Dec. 8.

Those who take the tour will be welcomed to hosts’ historic homes on Crescent Hills, Earlwood and Spring Grove roads, Glenfield Drive and Hathaway Court.

The Crescent Hills neighborhood, bordered by Saltsburg, Frankstown and Lime Hollow roads, features different styles of homes that were built in the 1930s, ‘40s and ‘50s, according to the Crescent Hills Civic Association. The neighborhood takes pride in its hospitality.

“Events such as this are nothing new to this 85-year-old Penn Hills community,” the association said in a news release. “The community’s civic association has long been a source of connectivity for residents. It hosts regular activities and events for kids and adults, fostering the kind of neighborliness and community pride which are today hard to come by.”

The tour’s final stop, on Glenfield Drive, will include coffee, cider and various treats to warm visitors. There will also be homemade crafts and live wreaths and greens available for purchase.

The tour will be from 1 to 5 p.m. and tickets are available for $17 until Nov. 30. Prices will increase to $20 on Dec. 1 but tickets will still be available to purchase until the day of the event.

Tickets can be purchased on the Crescent Hills Civic Association’s website, www.ch-ca.org. They can also be purchased over the phone by calling Christine Miller at 412-793-1940.
