Council meeting
The next Penn Hills council meeting is at 7 p.m. Aug. 21 in the Penn Hills Government Center council chambers, 102 Duff Road. An agenda will be posted online at pennhillspa.gov closer to the date of the meeting.
Zoning hearing board meeting
Penn Hills zoning hearing board will meet at 7 p.m. Aug. 23 in the Penn Hills Government Center council chambers, 102 Duff Road.
Properties on the agenda are on Swan Drive, Harvest Drive and Rose Avenue. The Harvest Drive and Rose Avenue owners are requesting a special exemption for the possession and keeping of four chickens for egg production and as pets.

Penn Hills Library
The library will show an outdoor movie from 5-8 p.m. Aug. 22, weather permitting. In the event of bad weather, the movie will be shown indoors. The movie is for those entering grades six through 12.
Aug. 26 is Nintendo Day at the library. From 1-3 p.m., guests can participate in game tournaments, make their own Nintendo swag and enjoy free ice cream. This is an all ages program.
