Spaghetti dinner
Verona Volunteer Fire Company will host its inaugural spaghetti dinner fundraiser and open house from 4-7 p.m. July 30 at the station, 465 Parker St. Plates are $12 and include pasta, salad, bread, dessert and a drink. People can also tour the station and check out some of the equipment. Firefighters are also collecting toys for Toys for Tots as part of the department’s Christmas in July program. Toys can be dropped off during the open house or at the station between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. July 23 and July 30. Call 412-828-3060 for more information.
Upcoming meetings
Penn Hills Library board will meet at 7 p.m. July 26.
A zoning board hearing meeting will be at 7 p.m. July 27, and a planning commission meeting will take place at 7:30 p.m. July 28.
Church of the Brethren hosts Bible study
Monroeville Church of the Brethren is hosting a ladies’ Bible study program at 6 p.m. Tuesdays in the sanctuary of the church, 481 Center Road.
The program is titled “Living in God’s Presence — Tracing the Temple Motif Through the Bible.” For more information, contact Sandy Ritchey at slritchey54@gmail.com. She will reply with a PDF with lesson materials for study.
Social hour

Penn Hills H.S. 50th reunion
Penn Hills High School’s class of 1973 will celebrate their 50-year class reunion on Oct. 6, 2023, from 5-11 p.m. at Futules Harmar House in Harmarville. Movies in the Park

Plum ’66 reunion set
A reunion of the Plum Senior High School Class of 1966 is scheduled from 6 to 10 p.m. Aug. 27 at Pugliano’s Italian Grill, 1808 Golden Mile Highway, Plum. Cost is $35. Cash will be collected at the door, and the exact amount is requested. A buffet dinner features appetizers, deli platter, salads, vegetables, and beef, chicken and pasta. Dessert and non-alcoholic beverages are included. Casual attire is recommended. Name tags will be provided at check-in. Music from the ’60s is featured.
