Destiny Roberts was awarded The George H. Thomas and Donald R. Buckey Philosophy Prize at the 2023 Mount Union Honors Convocation. The prize, honoring two dedicated and respected Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies faculty members, is awarded to a graduating senior who has demonstrated the highest level of philosophical scholarship. Roberts also gave a presentation titled “The Relationship Between Emotional and Physical Parental Absence on Childhood Anxiety” during Mount Union’s SCHOLAR Day.

Taylor Clayborn was among the 42 student-athletes who were recently inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma, the National College Athlete Honor Society. Clayborn is a member of the soccer team studying English at Thiel College. Chi Alpha Sigma is a nonprofit organization established to recognize college student-athletes who excel both on and off the field of competition.
Rachel Schweitzer made the president’s list at Bob Jones University for the spring 2023 semester and graduated Summa Cum Laude in May with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in interior architecture and design. Josiah Schweitzer, a junior premed/predent major, made the dean’s list.
Regina Kuszajewski was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi at the University of Delaware.
Dustin Runkel, Cherylie Blair Fuller, Samantha Broderick and Christine Ritz made the dean’s list at Southern New Hampshire University for the winter 2023 semester, which ran from January through May.
Malajah Nickol Johnson graduated from Thiel College on May 7 with a Bachelor of Science in biology.
Abigail Zuback, a criminal justice major, was named to the spring 2023 dean’s honor list at Cedarville University.

Naarah Amorino, Julia Bauer, Jonathan Danley and Emily Husovich made the dean’s list at Grove City College for the spring 2023 semester.
Makayla Delo, a member of the class of 2023 majoring in architectural engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, recently completed a senior thesis that is required of all graduating seniors as part of the university’s distinctive project-based educational experience. The project, Tomorrow’s Hurricane Resilient Hub, was Delo’s Major Qualifying Project, one that is usually team-based and often focuses on very specific issues or needs of an organization that has partnered with the university to sponsor the student’s work.
