Shaler Township’s annual Lite Up Night took place on Nov. 19 at Shaler North Hills Library and Shaler Middle School.

The event featured a parade, firepits for marshmallow toasting, an ice skating rink, horse-drawn carriage rides, miniature train rides and more.

“We had a lot of generous sponsors who helped make the evening possible, plus, our board of commissioners, Public Works Department, Shaler Township Police Department, Fire Police, our Fire Departments, EMS, vendors and volunteers,” said Melanie Crawford, Shaler clerk.

Crafts in the library, a performance by the Shaler Area School District Choir and of course, photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus were also part of the fun evening.
