Fish fry
Our Lady of the Lakes Parish will be hosting its annual Fish Fry beginning Ash Wednesday and every Friday through April 7. Sandwiches, meals, sides and home-made dessert will be available. Raffle baskets featuring an assortment of items will also be available.
The hours will be from 3-6:30 p.m. Patrons are welcome to eat in or call ahead for take-out orders. Eat in is available at the Activity Building, located at 527 Bairdford Road, Gibsonia. Place a take-out order by calling 724-265-4017. Cash and checks will be accepted.
Rotary scholarship
The Bob Williams Rotary Memorial Scholarship Program has scholarships available for the 2022-2023 academic year. High school seniors in Allegheny and Beaver counties are eligible to apply. Those attending New Kensington-Arnold, Kiski Area and Burrell Area High Schools and The Kiski School in Westmoreland County are also eligible. Vocational students, G.E.D students and those attending parochial, charter and private schools are also eligible.
Students must have a 2.5 or higher- grade point average and also must complete an essay, which highlights their community/school service, as part of the application submission.

Preschool open gym
Pine Community Center hosts a preschool open gym every Thursday from 10:30-noon for children ages 1 and up. It’s free for PCC members and $6 for non-members. It’s a time for independent play, and parent supervision is required. Toys and games will be set up in the north gym. Registration is not required. For more information, visit twp.pine.pa.us.
Senior softball
The Northern Allegheny County Senior Softball League is open for 2023 registration. NACSSL is a competitive, slow pitch senior softball league for divisions 50-plus and 62-plus. Tryout evaluations will be held in March and April. Games are played May through August primarily at the North Park Senior Ballfield Complex at the Lodge in North Park. Museum hosts lecture
The Depreciation Lands Museum, 4743 S. Pioneer Road, Hampton, is hosting a history lecture at 7 p.m. Feb. 22 in the Deacon’s Tavern. The topic is “18th Century Medicine: Disease, Diagnosis, Treatment.”
