Ingomar Garden Club
The September meeting of the Ingomar Garden Club will be held at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 6 at St. Thomas Anglican Church, 4106 St. Thomas Drive, Gibsonia, in the Picnic Pavilion. The business meeting will be followed by a presentation on dish garden diversity by floral designer Joni Kappler. Food Truck & Farmer’s Market
Pine’s food truck and farmer’s market event will take place on Aug. 31 from 5:30-8 p.m. This month’s event will feature live music from The 56 East Band starting at 6:30 p.m. Food trucks and market are located in the Pine Community Park on the Pearce Mill Road entrance side (by the outdoor basketball courts). This month’s vendors include Aviva, Belle Farm, Bloomview Farm, Costello Apiaries, Cousins Maine Lobster, Dee’s Delights, Gabby’s Cookie Jar, Hi Hemp Infused Crafts, Northern Tier Library, Pitaland, and Trish’s Truffles and Sweet Treats.
Preschool closing sale
Deer Creek Preschool, located at Deer Creek Presbyterian Church, has closed. Items including toys, books, furniture and much more will be offered for sale from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Sept. 8-9. The church is located at 33 Bairdford Road, Gibsonia.
Cub Scouts
All Pine-Richland families with a student in kindergarten through fifth grade are invited to the kick-off bonfire for Cub Scout Pack 179. Join us for games, s’mores, and to learn about Cub Scouts on Sept. 6 from 6-8 p.m. at St. Richard’s Catholic Church, 3841 Dickey Road, Gibsonia. AARP
AARP #2991 meets at noon on the third Thursday of each month at Northmont Presbyterian Church, 8169 Perry Hwy. Join us for dessert, bingo, entertainment, socialization and much more. We have trips scheduled for you to join us. Dues $10 a year. Every visitor will receive a raffle ticket (join and get two tickets). The drawing will be done in October.
Golf outing
The Myasthenia Gravis Association of Western PA will host the Third Annual MGA Golf Outing to benefit the organization’s free patient support services on Sept. 24 at Pheasant Ridge Golf Club in Gibsonia. Registration/check-in starts at 11:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. In addition to 18 holes of golf, attendees will also be treated to a grilled lunch during registration and a buffet dinner. Individual registration is $125 per golfer and registration for a foursome is $500. Tickets are also available for a dinner-only option at $30 per person.

Glass recycling grand opening
A grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting for Pine’s glass recycling bin will be held from 10:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Sept. 1 at the Township of Pine Building, 230 Pearce Mill Road. There will be sustainable information booths, pop up fitness classes beginning at 10:30 a.m., a ribbon cutting ceremony at noon, and hotdogs, hamburgers, chips and refreshments from noon-3 p.m. For more information, visit twp.pine.pa.us.
Sealarks Women’s Group
Sealarks Women’s Group will meet at 4 p.m. Sept. 13 at Memorial Park Church, 8800 Peebles Road, McCandless for the season’s kickoff dinner. The group provides Christian fellowship and social activity for women alone. All women alone are welcome to attend and consider joining the group. Cost is $10 for guests and $5 for members.
