Hampton Presbyterian Church
For Holy Week, the schedule at Hampton Presbyterian Church is as follows:
Palm Sunday, April 2 — Worship services at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. Education hour at 9:30 a.m. Children’s church during the 10:30 worship service.
Maundy Thursday, April 6 — Potluck dinner at 6:15 p.m. Bring your family and a dish to share. Last names beginning A-K, please bring a salad or vegetable dish; L–Z, please bring a main dish or casserole. No desserts. Drinks, plates and silverware will be provided. A worship service will follow at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary.
Good Friday, April 7 — Men’s Good Friday breakfast at 7:30 a.m. featuring keynote speaker Lee Scott. Prayer vigil begins at noon and continues through 9 a.m. Saturday. Worship service at 7:30 p.m.
Easter Sunday, April 9 — Sunrise service at 6:30 a.m., adult Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. and worship services in the sanctuary at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m.

North Hills Home Show
The North Hills Home Show, March 31-April 2, is three action-packed days of experts, exhibits and demonstrations that will educate and entertain individuals interested in information, advice and inspiration at North Park Sports Complex. Show highlights will include more than 150 exhibits, demonstrations and numerous how-to clinics.
Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. home remodeling aficionado Andy Amrhein will host an “Ask the Expert” session.
Sunday afternoon at noon, rock legend Rich Engler will host a display of autographed superstar guitars and book signing of “Behind the Stage Door.”
Show hours will be Friday, 3-8 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; and Sunday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Admission is free. For more information, visit NorthHillsHomeShow.com.
Book drive
The Rich-Mar Rotary Club is starting a collection drive to donate books to for kids to have at home and to use throughout the summer months when their reading skills would otherwise atrophy. Bring any books you may no longer use to Rich-Mar Rotary Club meetings (Wednesdays at 12:15 p.m. at Treesdale Country Club) over the next few months, or text Dave Hein at 412-807-1340 and he will pick up whatever you have. Rich-Mar Rotary Club will accept books all the way through high school level, although elementary level books are most preferred.
Host families wanted
The Council on International Educational Exchange is looking for host families in the Pine-Richland School district to host foreign exchange students for the 2023-24 school year. One student is 15 from Spain, and another is 17 from Italy. All student expenses are already covered, and a host family only needs to put another plate on the table and welcome the student into their family. AARP
AARP 595 welcomes new members and guests to its meeting on the first Tuesday of the month at 12:30 p.m. at Hampton Presbyterian Church, 2842 E. Hardies Road in Gibsonia. Join for great fellowship, luncheons, entertainment and trips. Next meeting is April 4. Entertainment will be by Terri Lee Simmen, who is known as the Ukulele Lady. Dues are $7/year. Spring leaf pick up
Richland Township’s 2023 spring leaf pick-up day will be April 5. All bags must be out prior to 6 a.m. on the day of pickup. All leaves and vegetable clippings must be in biodegradable paper bags — plastic bags are not acceptable. Limit each bag to 40 pounds. Tree trimmings must be tied or bound and branches cannot be larger than 3 inches in diameter and 48 inches in length. For more information, visit richland.pa.us.
Fish fry
Saints Martha and Mary Parish will host a fish fry every Friday during Lent (except Good Friday) from 4-7 p.m. at the Saint Catherine of Sweden Church on Wildwood Road in Hampton. Fish dinners offer a choice of baked or fried cod or steamed or batter baked shrimp and include two side dishes and dessert. Fish sandwiches, macaroni and cheese, fish and shrimp tacos and pizza are also available. The dining room in St. Catherine’s Farmer Hall is open from 4-7 p.m. and everything on the menu is available for take-out. The complete menu is available online at www.stsmarthaandmaryparish.org. Take-out orders can be placed online or by phone at 412-486-6001. Curbside delivery is available only for orders placed in advance. Please allow 20 minutes for your order to be prepared.
Seedling sale
The North Area Environmental Council is holding its annual seedling sale. The sale offers a wide variety of non-invasive plants, trees and wildflower seed mixes to add to the beauty and natural habitat of your backyard and the ecological health of the region.
