Fall leaf pickup
Richland’s fall leaf pick ups will be Oct. 18, Nov. 8 and Nov. 29; or Oct. 20, Nov. 10 and Dec. 1 depending on which day residents’ garbage pick up occurs. The service is provided to reduce the impact of leaves on the municipal stormwater system, streams and wetlands. All bags must be out prior to 6 a.m. on the day of pickup. All leaves, garden residue and cuttings must be in biodegradable paper bags with each bag limited to 40 lbs. Tree trimmings (no larger than three inches in diameter and smaller than 48 inches in length) must be tied/bound into manageable bundles. For more information, visit richland.pa.us.
Zombies of the Corn
Three Rivers Paintball is gearing up for the 11th annual fall event Zombies of the Corn, held weekends in October (opening Sept. 22 and 23). The event offers fright levels for all ages. Everyone will have a chance to board our Zombie Fighting Vehicles – because who doesn’t like to shoot live zombies that can’t shoot back? Other fabulous attractions include the 3D Funhouse, Zombie Compound, the Z- Maze, story tellers, face-painters bonfires, and outdoor movies. Fire dancers, stilt walkers plus lots of tasty treats will keep everyone entertained and happy. Parking will again be handled by the Boy Scouts of America Troop # 444 collecting donations for their High Adventures outings.
Early weekends are advised for best pricing and availability since the event sells out by mid-month. Tickets and information are available at ZombiesOfTheCorn.com or by calling 724-775-6232.
