The Ingomar Garden Club’s June meeting will be held at 10:30 a.m. June 7 at Northmont Church, 8169 Perry Hgy. in McCandless. The business meeting will be followed by a light luncheon and guest speaker Steve Piskor, Penn State Master Gardener. Piskor will highlight interesting gardening tools/products and tool maintenance. Spotted lanternfly public meeting
Learn how to recognize the spotted lanternfly and help stop its spread by attending a public meeting sponsored by Penn State Extension from 2:30-5:30 p.m. June 10 at Parish Hill Barn on Walter Road in McCandless.
The spotted lanternfly is an invasive insect that has spread rapidly throughout Pennsylvania since 2014, threatening the state’s grape, tree fruit, hardwood and nursery industries. The series is aimed at providing residents, municipal officials, park and public works employees and landscape professionals with research-based and accurate information on the impacts of this nonnative pest. Vacation bible school

Salem Church in Pine invites all children ages 4-11 to Vacation Bible School July 30-Aug. 3 from 5:30-7:45 p.m. It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect with others in the community and the kids always have a blast. Art camps
Sing, Sing, Sing in Wexford will host two art camps for kids. From June 5-7, Wild And Wonder Filled will feature mosaic, acrylic, watercolor and sketchbook skills for grades 1-4. Morning and afternoon sessions are available. The graphic design art camp is for kids ages 8-12 and it will run 9 a.m.-noon June 26-30.
