Pine-Richland student achievements for the week of May 30, 2023

Lauren Schwab, a senior at Pine-Richland High School, earned her Girl Scout Gold Award on May 7. Schwab’s project was the assemblance of bat roosting boxes for the Latodami Nature Center in North Park.
Grace Welsh, a senior cross-cultural Service major, was named to the president’s list for the spring 2023 semester at Bob Jones University.
Lindsay Liebro and Jacob Mellinger made the dean’s list at Belmont University for the spring 2023 semester.
Juliana MacDonald, Thomas Szymanski and Lauren Maccagnan made the president’s list at Southern New Hampshire University for the winter 2023 semester, which runs January through May.
Marshall Burger, a psychology major, was named to the spring 2023 dean’s list at Cedarville University.
Benjamin Welsh, a biology major, was named to the spring 2023 dean’s honor list at Cedarville University.
Alex Kramer earned a place on Furman University’s dean’s list for the 2023 spring semester.
Tyler Anderson recently was awarded a study abroad grant worth $1,000 from The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines. Currently majoring in professional Spanish and dance at Slippery Rock University, Anderson will use the grant to study abroad in Cartagena, Colombia.
Robby Palmieri is one of two Baldwin Wallace University men’s wrestlers to be named to the College Sports Communicators Academic At-Large All-District Team. Palmieri now advances to Academic At-Large All-America ballot, which will be announced on June 21.
The following students were named to the dean’s list for the spring 2023 semester at Grove City College: Katie Baker, David Butler, Bradley Butorac, Caroline Dawson, Cole DeFillippo, Joe DeLuca, Audrey Eaton, Sam Eaton, Gavin Erhardt, Austin Garrett, Nick Guidas, Logan Guise, Anna Haynes, Emily Ivory, Emily Larson, Paige Linkenheimer, Tabitha Morris, Josef Mueller, Tomas Mueller, Lexi Reed, Nora Russell, Madeline Slais, Morgan Smith, Lana Stites, Matt VanKirk and Ben Wolf.
Colin Daniello received a full-scholarship opportunity for flight training, thanks to EAA Chapter 857 of Butler. The Ray Aviation Scholarship program is administered by the Experimental Aircraft Association in Oshkosh, Wisc., and provides up to $11,000 scholarships to young people who are seeking to learn to fly. Daniello will be training at High Flight Academy based at Pittsburgh-Butler Regional Airport. The scholarship is designed to support a flight student through both written and practical segments of flight training that are part of successful FAA pilot certification.
