In August, Pine-Richland High School junior Prisha Dargan traveled with her robotics team to Belize to help kickstart FIRST Lego League teams across Belize and to mentor and assist the FIRST Global Challenge Team from Belize High School. Dargan and her team worked with the Belize team on alternative robot options and taught Java basics to help their programming knowledge.

They also delivered 20 LEGO Education Spike Prime kits. Dargan’s team was accompanied by PRMS eighth-grader Piya Dargan.

Pine-Richland High School senior Udi Akolkar has been awarded the Pennsylvania Communication Association’s Jeanne Lutz High School Speaker of the Year Award. This award recognizes excellent communicators and/or role models at the high school level in Pennsylvania. Akolkar will be recognized at the Pennsylvania Communications Association’s annual meeting at Slippery Rock University on Sept. 30.

Megan J. Roth received a bachelor of fine arts in communication design, summa cum laude from Kutztown University.

Ella St.Myer recently enrolled in the University of Kentucky College of Arts & Sciences for fall 2023 with a prospective major of biology.

Ryan Apalski, Shayne Cerra, Wyatt Courville, Ella Hengelsberg and Ethan Stulak started their freshman year at James Madison University in August.

University of Alabama student John Faber is participating in UA’s Cooperative Education Program during the fall 2023 semester and is working for Mercedes Benz, U.S. International.
