Richland Township holds reorganization meeting

The Richland board of supervisors reappointed Ray Kendrick as chair and George “Skip” Allen as vice-chairman at the Jan. 3 reorganization meeting.

Supervisor Donna Snyder made a motion to reappoint the following administrative entities and professional staff:

• Manager, secretary and treasurer: Dean Bastianini

• Assistant manager: Natalie Thiess

• Assistant treasurer: Amy Shane

• Solicitor: Goehring, Rutter and Boehm (Contact: Emily Mueller, attorney)

• Special labor counsel: Campbell, Durrant Beatty

• Building code official: Professional Code Services

• Zoning officer: Scott Shoup

• Engineer: Shoup Engineering

• Traffic engineer: Trans Associates

• Emergency management coordinator: Joseph Pillart

• Delegates to Allegheny North Tax Collection Committee: Dean Bastianini, Natalie Thiess (alternate)

• Bank depository: PLGIT and Nextier Bank

• Newspaper for legal advertising: Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

The motion passed unanimously.

Supervisor John Marshall made a motion to appoint volunteers to serve on the following boards and committees:

• Planning commission: Tim Gaichas and Diane Pontoriero for a term that term expires in 2026

• Zoning hearing board: Chris Opalinski for a term that expires in 2025

• Library board: Karan Beck for a term that expires in 2025

• RTMAAC: Michael Funk for a term that expires in 2027

• Transportation tmpact fee committee: Diane Pontoriero, Tim Gaichas, Joseph Pillart, Jim McChesney, John Pasquinelli, George Kusevich for a term that expires at the end of 2023

The motion passed unanimously.

Before the meeting was adjourned, a motion was made to table the appointment of representatives to active transportation.
