Pine-Richland High School seniors Sarah Pifer, Joseph DeRenzo and Breanna Franchak were recognized by the Rich-Mar Rotary Club as Students of the Month for their outstanding community service and dedication to improving their school and communities.

Tisha Joshi, a seventh-grader at Pine-Richland Middle School, has earned the highest score in Pennsylvania on a Level 4 practical piano performance examination administered by the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, Ontario. The nationally standardized piano examination requires students to memorize three pieces of solo piano repertoire from different time periods, play technical requirements such as scales and etudes, sight read and also tests ear training. Joshi studies piano with Dr. Mary Lynne Bennett, a Hampton resident and faculty member at the Duquesne University Mary Pappert School of Music. Joshi will receive a certificate of excellence from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto for earning the highest score in the state of Pennsylvania for their level.
