23-year-old man found shot, lying in road in Penn Hills after being thrown from car

Allegheny County police were investigating a shooting in Penn Hills Saturday night.

Allegheny County Police are seeking information on a shooting Saturday that critically injured a 23-year-old man.

Police were dispatched just before 8 p.m. Saturday to the 7500 block of Manilla Street in Penn Hills for a report of a man found shot in the street. Penn Hills Police and paramedics found the man, who had been shot multiple times, lying in the roadway.

He was taken to an area hospital, where he remained in critical condition Sunday morning.

County police initiated an investigation. It is believed that the man was likely shot while inside a vehicle and then tossed onto the roadway.

Detectives are attempting to identify a vehicle involved, but reported they have no suspects.
