Pittsburgh police say a 6-year-old boy died from injuries received after a brick retaining wall collapsed on him Saturday in the Larimer neighborhood.
Police, paramedics and fire units responded to the 30 block of Carver Street after reports that a brick retaining wall had fallen on Kaimar Buchanan-Fuller, just before 6:27 p.m., according to the city’s Public Safety department.
When medics arrived they found Buchanan-Fuller underneath a three-foot cinder block wall on the front porch area of a residence. The child was in serious condition before going into traumatic arrest.
Medics transported the child to Children’s Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 7:15 p.m., according to the county medical examiner’s office.
