Spring is here and PennDOT District 11 is wasting no time getting under way with construction projects.
A rehabilitation project on the ramp that carries traffic from southbound I-579 to the outbound Boulevard of the Allies in Pittsburgh will begin Monday night, weather permitting.
Starting at 8 p.m., crews will restrict the ramp to a single 11-foot lane and prohibit truck traffic through late June. Improvement work includes concrete repairs to the deck, barriers, and underside of the ramp, drainage upgrades, and other miscellaneous construction activities. Trucks will be detoured.
