It’s time to sharpen up your blades.

The Allegheny County Parks Department said the North Park and South Park ice rinks are scheduled to open Friday.

The 2019-2020 ice skating season will run through mid-March, weather permitting.

Both rinks will have Family Skate Fridays from 4:30 to 7 p.m. During those times, two adults and up to four children up to age 17 can skate for $10 per family for Allegheny County residents and $13 per family for nonresidents.

Both rinks also will offer free and paid ice skating lessons for ages 3 and over as well as developmental hockey leagues for ages 4-12.

For information about the North Park and South Park ice rinks, visit www.alleghenycounty.us/skating or call 412-350-2455.
