Two stores will open in the Waterfront in Homestead this year — one is new and the other a former tenant.

Old Navy is returning to the shopping center after leaving four years ago. The newcomer is Versona, a women’s brand inspired by Italian fashions.

Carey Kann, general manager at the Waterfront, said in statement that the two stores “offer the fashion-forward style our shoppers are looking for without breaking the bank.”

Versona, which has 20 stores across the United States, describes itself as “a unique retail destination for the modern, trend-savvy woman at an affordable price.” The store will encompass 6,500 square feet and sell dresses, tops, accessories and shoes.

Old Navy will be moving into the vacant Office Depot space.

“When you have a major national retailer like Old Navy decide to come back to a brick-and-mortar center, it really speaks volumes about the success of that property,” said Marty Sweeney, senior vice president of M&JWilkow, the property’s commercial real estate company, in a statement.

The Waterfront, built on the site of former steel mill, offers over 70 specialty shops, restaurants, entertainment complexes, hotels and retailers.
