A Penn Hills man faces charges of child pornography after detectives found 10 downloaded videos of children between the ages of 10- and 16-years-old performing sexual acts on his computer.
Anthony Palandro, 42, will face an Allegheny County Court judge for 10 counts of child pornography and the use of a computer to commit a felony.
According to a criminal complaint filed against Palandro, the man admitted to the crime to investigators and said he first began downloading child porn in his early 30s.
The state Attorney General’s Crimes Against Children Task Force assisted Penn Hills police in the investigation and arrest.
The complaint said Palandro’s computer had more than an hour of child pornography downloaded on it at the time of the arrest.
“(Palandro) acknowledged that he knew it was illegal to possess child pornography,” said the complaint.
Palandro was identified by a detective with the AG’s office after an online investigation in April uncovered Palandro’s computer was using a file sharing network to collect child pornography.
Court documents show Palandro was arrested at his Poe Drive house in May. His bail was set to non-monetary.
