Pittsburgh Marathon runner gets a medal — and a ring

A man proposes to his girlfriend as she finished the Pittsburgh marathon on Sunday, May 5, 2019.

One Pittsburgh marathon runner got more than just a medal at the finish line on Sunday.

She also went home with an engagement ring and a fiancé.

Pittsburgh Public Safety posted a video of the proposal on their Facebook page Sunday afternoon saying, “From high fives with Pittsburgh Bureau of Police Chief Schubert at the finish line to a proposal!”

The couple was not identified.
