Police investigate death of man, 52, found in Etna alley

Detectives are investigating the death of a man who died Sunday morning shortly after police found him in an Etna alley, officials said.

The man has not yet been identified.

Officials responded to a 911 call reporting a body lying in the alley of South Spring Street near Maplewood Street, Allegheny County Police said.

When first responders arrived, the man was unresponsive, police said.

Medics took him to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

No further details were immediately available.

Officials asked anyone with information about the incident to call the county police tipline at 1-833-255-8477 (833-ALL-TIPS). Callers can remain anonymous.
