Police: Braddock home raid turns up 450 stamp bags of heroin, fentanyl
Allegheny County Police said they arrested a Braddock man Thursday after raiding his home and finding a gun and drugs.
James Wise, 28, was charged with illegal gun possession, possession with intent to deliver heroin and fentanyl, receiving stolen property and three counts of possession of controlled substances.
Police said they executed a search warrant at Wise’s Corey Avenue home and seized 450 packets of heroin and fentanyl, a stolen Glock 26 9mm handgun, about $1,000 in cash and small quantities of ecstasy pills and marijuana, county police Lt. Jonathan Love reported.
Police estimated the street value of the drugs at $2,700.
Love said Wise had a prior felony drug conviction and is not legally allowed to possess a gun.
Wise was taken to Allegheny County Jail in Pittsburgh. Online court documents show he posted $25,000 bail.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 27 before District Judge Scott H. Schricker.
