Take your dog for a run on Sunday … with a pumpkin costume.

The Waterfront in Homestead is hosting its annual Fall Fest celebration. The main attraction is the annual small dog event, “The Great Pup-Kin Race.”

The dog run is for canines 25 pounds or less and will be held at 2 p.m. in Town Center on West Bridge Street. More than 100 dogs are scheduled to participate in this year’s race. Guests of Fall Fest are invited to cheer on competitors during the 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. event.

Donations will be collected throughout the event to benefit Humane Animal Rescue.

The Waterfront shopping center encompasses the boroughs of Homestead, West Homestead and Munhall. It sits on land once occupied by U.S. Steel’s Homestead Steel Works.
