The inbound lanes of Route 28 fully reopened just before rush hour Thursday morning after they were shut down when a tractor-trailer struck a barrier near the Millvale exit and began leaking fuel onto the roadway, according to authorities.

The wreck occurred around 2 a.m.

Vehicles were being detoured off the Millvale exit and then back onto the 40th Street Bridge, Shaler Police said.

First responders and crews from PennDOT worked to clean up the fuel spill.

Shaler Police reported that at 7:15 a.m., all lanes had reopened.
