Washington Pike closed in Collier because of transformer fire

About a half-mile of Washington Pike in Collier Township has been closed due to a transformer fire , Allegheny County officials tweeted on Sunday.

At about 7 p.m., the road was closed between Collier Town Square and the Woltz and Wind Ford Dealership.

The fire caused the Woodville Duquesne Light Substation to lose power, officials said.
