Police: Woman stabbed at East Pittsburgh home dies of her injuries

A 22-year-old West Mifflin woman who was stabbed multiple times inside a home in East Pittsburgh Friday has died of her injuries, state police said.

Troopers said Octavia Stone died of her injuries at 3:23 a.m. Saturday at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, where she was taken by ambulance after being stabbed multiple times. Police said they were dispatched to the home on Bessemer Avenue about 8 p.m. Friday.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing, police said.

Trooper Adam Sikorski reported that the suspect is a male and believed to be known to the victim.

“The victim was targeted by the actor and is believed to be no direct threat to the community,” Sikorski said in a news release.

Anyone with information on the stabbing is asked to call state police at 412-299-1607.
