A 71-year-old Pittsburgh man died Tuesday after he crashed into a lake near Orlando, Florida.

Police have not yet released the man’s identity, according to the Osceola News Gazette.

The Florida Highway Patrol said emergency crews were called just about 3:40 p.m. to the community of Celebration.

They say the man was leaving a parking lot when his Chrysler Pacifica minivan went into the lake.

Police said the man was trying to reverse out of a parking spot near Front Street. Police said he lost control and swerved off the road. The vehicle hit a curb and a fence and then crashed into the lake, where he drowned.

An investigation in ongoing.
