Pittsburgh police are investigating a shooting and fight on the city’s South Side that sent one person to the hospital early Sunday.

Police responded at about 2:45 a.m. to a ShotSpotter alert of two rounds fired in the 1200 block of East Carson Street. Police said they were flagged down and directed to an injured male victim in a doorway at Roland Way and South 13th Street.

He said he and his girlfriend were fighting with a group of people on Roland Way when someone fired two shots at him, according to police. He had a possible graze wound to the side of his head and was bleeding from a cut to his mouth, police said.

He was in stable condition when medics took him to a hospital, police said.

An unoccupied transit van parked nearby also was struck twice, according to police.

Police said suspects reportedly fled the scene in a silver-colored vehicle.
