Public Safety spokesman Chris Togneri said officers found a woman who told them she had been held against her will in a residence by a man she knew. The woman also said she had been assaulted multiple times.

The woman was able to escape through a window and seek help from a neighbor, Togneri said.

Paramedics took the woman to a local hospital in stable condition to be evaluated.

Togneri said police attempted to make contact with the man inside the home, but did not get a response. SWAT was called for a possibly armed and barricaded man inside the home.

SWAT officers searched the home, but did not locate the man, Togneri said. Police did not identify the man, nor did they provide a description of him.
