Pittsburgh Public Schools employee accused of sexually assaulting teen
A man who works for Pittsburgh Public Schools has been accused of sexually assaulting a teen girl.
Police said Brian Deering, 45, returned to his Baldwin home after a night of drinking in August and gave a 14-year-old girl alcohol and marijuana before sexually assaulting her, according to Tribune-Review news partner WTAE-TV.
According to a school directory, Deering works as a heavy cleaner and fireman at Brashear High School in Pittsburgh’s Beechview neighborhood.
Pittsburgh Public Schools told WTAE that it immediately placed Deering on leave after being notified of his arrest.
Deering is facing several felony charges, including rape, statutory sexual assault and endangering the welfare of children, according to court documents.
