Plum AARP meeting to showcase Zoomobile
Plum AARP will have its monthly meeting at noon Feb. 13 in Unity Community Church.
The program will feature the Zoomobile, which will bring four or five small animals for the group to meet and learn about.
Plum AARP, a social and service group, features a speaker or entertainment, following a business meeting and cake, coffee or tea. The group hosts two hot dog lunches, a Christmas party, a May luncheon and an August social.
The group is open to residents of Plum, Penn Hills, Monroeville and the surrounding areas. Newcomers are welcome. Dues are $15 a year.
Meetings are held at noon on the second Tuesday of each month, September through August, in Unity Community Church.

‘Souper bowl’ drive to benefit Rosedale, Oakmont food pantries
A “souper bowl” drive to help tackle hunger is going on at Fox’s Pizza Den in Oakmont, 314 Allegheny River Blvd.
People can bring canned or boxed soups to the pizza shop through Feb. 11.
Hours of operation are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 8 p.m. Sunday.
The drive is organized by Howard Hanna real estate agent Lori Hummel of Oakmont.
Donations will be distributed to the Riverview Community Action Corporation Food Bank and Rosedale Food Pantry.

Movie night in Plum to feature ‘Sing 2’
The borough will host a movie night at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 10 at the borough building, 2000 Old Mine Road.
Doors open at 6 p.m. The movie will be “Sing 2.”
The event is free, but those planning to attend are asked to register for planning purposes only. Registration forms can be found at plumboro.com.
Tickets on sale for murder mystery theater in Oakmont
Oakmont United Methodist Church, 419 Maryland Ave., will host murder mystery theater events “Murder Stage Left” on Feb. 16, 17 and 18 at the church.
Those attending can watch the play and work with their table to solve the murder and receive a prize. Performances will be at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 16, noon Feb. 17 and 2 p.m. Feb. 18. The Feb. 16 event will include snacks, and the Feb. 17 and 18 performances will include lunch.
Tickets are $15 for the Feb. 16 event and $20 for Feb. 17 or 18.
