A public park in Port Vue was closed after police reported a fight that resulted in three people being assaulted, including one that was stabbed in the hand.

Police said the fight broke out Tuesday in Romine Avenue Park in the Mon Valley borough.

On Thursday, TribLive news partner WTAE spoke with Eric Scoglietti, a family member of the victims. Scoglietti said his son was assaulted and suffered a broken nose, a concussion, a possible broken eye socket and multiple lacerations to his face.

He said his daughter has multiple scrape marks from being dragged in the fight and his nephew was stabbed in the hand.

Scoglietti said his children have been traumatized by the attack and haven’t been acting the same since.

“They both don’t go to school,” Scoglietti said. “They’re not eating right either. They’re afraid that (the attackers) are going to come to the house and finish what they started.”

Port Vue police said Thursday that all actors have been identified and criminal charges will be filed pending the outcome of the investigation.

WTAE reported that Romine Avenue Park was closed Thursday and that it will remain closed until the investigation is complete.
