A teenager has been arrested in connection with a man’s fatal shooting in Uniontown on Tuesday.

State police charged Antonyo Owens, 14, with felony counts of criminal homicide, possession of a firearm, carrying a firearm without a license and possession of a firearm by a minor, along with a count of reckless endangerment.

Owens, who did not have an address listed in court documents, was taken into custody at around 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, according to Tribune-Review news partners WPXI-TV.

Information about where Owens is being detained and when his preliminary arraignment on the charges will be held has not yet been added to the court docket.

The district judge where the charges were filed is Jason A. Cox.

The shooting was reported shortly before 11:30 a.m. on June 6 at Connellsville and Clarke streets, according to a Fayette County 911 dispatch supervisor.

State police identified the victim as Anthony Jones, 38, of Uniontown.

Jones was taken to the emergency room at Uniontown Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to Fayette County Coroner Dr. Phillip E. Reilly.

An autopsy and toxicology tests are pending to determine the cause and manner of Jones’ death.

Fayette County District Attorney Richard Bower told WPXI-TV that Owens’ arrest was the result of a joint operation between police in Uniontown, Connellsville, the state police and a Fugitive Task Force.
