Police are investigating two shootings Tuesday afternoon in Uniontown that left one man dead and injured two other people.

Fayette County Coroner Dr. Bob Baker ruled the death of Joshua Stevens, 33, of Uniontown a homicide, resulting from gunshot wounds. Baker said Stevens was pronounced at WVU Medicine Uniontown Hospital.

Stevens was shot at about 3 p.m. on Dunlap Street.

Two other people were taken to a hospital from the scene of a later shooting nearby, at Pershing Court, TribLive news partner WTAE reported.

It was unknown if the two shootings were related.

Additional information was unavailable from Uniontown police, who said an investigation was ongoing.
