President Joe Biden speaks with family members of those who were aboard Flight 93 on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2021 in the field near the crash site at the Flight 93 National Memorial Park in Somerset County.

President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris will visit the Flight 93 National Memorial in Stonycreek Township on the anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks, White House officials announced.

Harris is expected to arrive in Pittsburgh today, according to the White House Press Office. She and Biden were also in the city on Labor Day for a Harris campaign event.

White House officials did not announce their schedule for the visit. Memorial officials hold an annual commemoration ceremony that will begin at 9:45 a.m.

Biden last visited the national memorial in 2021, on the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attacks in New York City, Washington, D.C., and Somerset County.

Authorities believe those aboard United Flight 93 took a vote and fought back against their hijackers after learning of three other plane crashes in New York City and at the Pentagon that morning.

Biden and Harris will also visit Ground Zero in New York City and the Pentagon in Arlington, Va., on Sept. 11.
